Membership – new applications, and renewals

Please Note: to assist with the correct identification of payments, and to avoid delays with the issuing of your membership card, you must identify clearly all payments, and advise the SAMAA office staff, either by e-mail, fax, or hard copy in the post. For new member applications, state your name and NEW (eg. Kipling NEW). For renewals, state your name and membership number (eg. Rudyard 11405). Renewals or applications with obscure references like "Subs", or "Renewal" or "SAMAA" can not be processed.

Subscription rates for 2009/ 2010 are as follows: (includes full insurance cover).

Members become due for subscriptions 12-months after entry, irrespective of renewal. Late renewals will retain original date of entry (or date of previous renewal).

New member applications:

Send the following minimum details for a database record to be created:

Name and surname (as you wish for it to appear on your membership card)
Postal address and postal code
Date of birth (or ID number)
Contact numbers (home, office, cell, fax)
Name of club that you will be flying at
Interest (eg. Park flying, helicopters, pylon racing, aerobatics, slope soaring, indoor, Sunday flying, etc.)
Confirmation of payment, or cheque, or postal order, etc. Cheques made payable to the SA Model Aircraft Association (avoid the acronym SAMAA).

Membership renewals:

Return your invoice, either by post, or a scanned copy by e-mail, with your payment confirmation, or deposit slip, or cheque, clearly identified with at least your name and membership number (there are probably eight J Botha’s on the database). Please ensure that your latest contact details are supplied.
