What the SAMAA does for its members
The SAMAA is committed to ensuring that its members can continue to enjoy
their hobby. Therefore it will:
- Establish links with the relevant authorities to safeguard its use of
airspace and radio frequencies.
- Assist clubs if need-be regarding flying field tenure.
- Negotiate effective insurance arrangements.
- Encourage a culture of safe flying.
- Establish a system of proficiency tests to challenge its members to improve
their skill.
- Encourage competition at all levels
- Address the current social imbalance within the country as it applies to
our hobby.
- Give advice and guidance to empower individuals, clubs, interest groups,
and regional associations, to manage their affairs effectively.
- Conduct the business of the association in the best interests of the
members in a transparent manner.
