WELCOME	Chairman welcomed the other four members to the meeting. 

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
Minutes approved after correction to Scale item.  Distributed via e-mail to committee.

FINANCES
LR sent financial statement with Ian. All in order. 

CONSTITUTION
No report.

SAFETY 	Accident at Barnstormers. Question of who pays excess (instructor, or pupil). 
Police refused to open case if third party not involved. BS to mention in chairman's 
report of next issue about clinic admission fee. Safety meeting at Vaal RF, re influx
of new members, who may be inexperienced. BS to address in ch rpt. Safety doc no back 
to Keith Nicolls. Non-respondents may be left out. 

ADMINISTRATION
All in hand. Many new clubs interested in registration. BS club visits to Kimberley and 
Nelspruit. 

NATIONALS
No offers yet for power Nats. BS to mention in chairman's report. Possible offer from 
Bloemfontein. C/L Nats programme for 2002 already finalised. 

SAMAA News.
Club registration list in next issue. JG to update officers list. Approval given for 
scale sub committee to run raffles for team fund through SAMAA News. 

DISPLAYS.  No report.


AEROBATICS
Gauteng pattern clinic scheduled for 4 August. Late notice may see poor attendance. 
F3A team preparing for W/C. concern about one member only taking one model aircraft. 

LARGE AIRCRAFT AND SCALE AEROBATICS
RAM on 15 July, saw 12 fliers. New Basic class finds favour. TOC arrangements in hand. 
Next Gauteng event 19 August. Big Plane Day at RMAC on 26 Aug. Some L/A activity at LOMAC.


FUN FLYING & PROFICIENCY

SOARING
No report

HELICOPTERS 
Chris Hamman in process of getting structures in place.

SCALE
	Second round of Series flown in July (windy in Gauteng). Bushveld Squadron 
	operational again. Some interest in E Cape through Koos Pretorius. Lowveld 
	keen to establish squadron. Good technical meeting at SAC. Fund-raising high 
	priority. Airshow January 2002 at Barnstormers. Approval for scale team to draw 
	funds from scale account (88-day call a/c). Scale Masters (15th anniversary) 
	scheduled for first weekend in March in Bloemfontein. Good weather.

CONTROL LINE
Fly-in at Vaal RF on 8 July windy and cold. Stunt event on 21 July saw only intermediate 
and beginners. Judges clinic on 4 August at NCB. Racing classes changed (profile team race).

PYLON RACING
Russell and team in Australia.

COMMUNICATIONS.  JG to update committee info. Requests rules or links to rules pages. 

GENERAL
o Free flight event at Kimberley 13-15 July (Platfontein). Slight revival.
